DataArt design team developed an interface for a telehealth platform in which inbound calls are first processed by an assistant, who defines the patient’s acuity with the help of AI and gets relevant information before routing the call to a physician.
Challenge
Due to the highly sensitive nature of the telehealth application, we had to keep in mind many factors, such as older generations who haven’t overcome the digital divide, people with disabilities, literacy levels, and more.
Moreover, we needed to pay attention to the content as it is one of the most critical factors to enhance the user experience. The user will not use the application if the content is too difficult to understand, no matter how nice the design is. Content needs to be understood by various people with different backgrounds and education levels.
To solve these problems, we worked alongside our developers to create a design that would be technically correct and appealing.
Solution
To free up the physician’s time, DataArt, together with Health Navigator, created an AI-powered telehealth solution prototype with a clear and straightforward interface that allows a doctor’s assistant to gather relevant information about a patient’s condition before transferring it to a doctor. A doctor’s schedule and business processes are optimized.
- Deep user research to develop a hypothesis regarding product functionality that can fully meet the end-user needs.
- Interactive prototypes, mockups, animations, and videos to quickly visualize complicated ideas and deliver information.
- Intuitive interface to make the solution very user-friendly both for the patient and the assistant.
