As Part of the Partnership, DataArt Joins DDEX as a Full Member.
New York, London, Munich, Dubai – March 25, 2026 – DataArt, a global software engineering firm that delivers breakthrough data, analytics, and AI platforms, today announced a partnership agreement with Digital Data Exchange (DDEX), the international standards-setting organization dedicated to improving the exchange of data and information across the music industry. In addition to their new partnership, DataArt has joined DDEX as a Full Member.
Under the agreement, DataArt will become a long term strategic DDEX partner committed to supporting the automated exchange of information along the digital music value chain using DDEX standards, to advancing tech solutions that enable rapid and broad adoption of those standards across the music ecosystem, and to shaping the digital future of the music industry.
DataArt has previously collaborated with DDEX to develop their free XML Validator that enables teams to automate the review of up to 20 DDEX messages at a time, ensuring the data complies with DDEX standards. The process ensures fewer formatting errors, reduced manual remediation, and smoother data transfers between systems. The XML validator can be accessed for use at https://ddex-validator.ddex.net/.
DDEX standards are widely used across the digital music value chain — by labels and music groups, publishers and catalogue platforms, rights organizations (PROs/CMOs and collection societies), distributors and label services, DSPs and music-driven social/UGC platforms. DDEX’s membership comprises over 150 companies and individuals from across the global music ecosystem, including music publishers, distributors, sound recording/performer CMOs, music recognition/technology companies, and companies providing services to the studio environment, and DataArt is proud to join as the latest member.
Doron Fagelson, Engagement Manager at DataArt, said:
“We know from our deep experience working with a diverse range of music industry players over the years that music data and metadata sit at the heart of the digital music ecosystem, drive value and that consistent, automated exchange of data between parties is crucial to reducing costs and maximizing operational efficiency throughout the digital music value chain. We’re excited about this strategic partnership with DDEX and the opportunity to help develop innovative, lasting technology solutions to accelerate and widen the adoption of DDEX standards and data communication protocols across the music industry.”
Sergey Bludov, SVP, DataArt, added:
"AI will only scale in music if the data supply chain is interoperable, trusted, and standards-driven. This partnership with DDEX has been a long time coming, and we’re excited to finally become a member and help the industry move faster with cleaner metadata exchange and stronger traceability from creation to royalty outcomes."
Dan Simpson, DDEX Chairman, said:
“DDEX exists to improve the way data moves throughout the music industry value chain using common communication standards. We’re pleased to partner with DataArt who have provided DDEX a validation tool for individual users of the standards. As members of DDEX, we know that DataArt representatives will help evolve DDEX standards and develop tooling and technology solutions that help DDEX implementers to improve the mechanisms for the communication of data and advance metadata quality across the music industry.”
