Challenge
GroundScope needed a more reliable and secure car booking platform, a new mobile app, and a replacement for the previous payment system to reduce high service costs. The old platform relied on an inefficient legacy payment system that was slow and cumbersome for users, challenging to integrate with modern software, and burdened with its customers’ credit card data and the compliance paperwork that came with it. They knew that an efficient, secure, and cost-effective payment service would be crucial to the success of its new booking platform.
GroundScope partnered with DataArt to rebuild its platform, trusting our expertise and experience in building solutions for the travel and transportation industry. To have a reliable and efficient payment system that would easily merge into the new platform, we recommended Stripe. Our extensive experience with Stripe product integration allowed DataArt’s team to select the best tools and features to enhance Groundscope’s platform financial performance.
Solution
DataArt designed a new and secure booking solution platform while modernizing the system by moving from legacy integration to a customized cloud solution. The new platform also provides an API for external services, like GDS (Global Distribution System) or partner sites.
Stripe’s payment system was selected for the simplicity of integration, fast rates of implementation, and competitive cost. The entire integration process only took two weeks. Following the completion of the integration, DataArt's team provided an instruction period to explain the new system's operational procedures and dashboard management.
The integration of additional products, like Stripe Checkout, allowed a fast implementation due to its prebuilt, global reach, and optimized-for-conversion payment pages. On the other hand, a fraud prevention and risk management system was implemented leveraging Stripe Radar, a machine learning infrastructure to measure and mitigate the increased risk and costs associated with credit card fraud.
