The client is a leading full-service provider in the online and mobile gaming sector, offering a diverse portfolio that includes classic slots, video bingo games, video poker games, table games, server-based gaming, social casino gaming, and more.

Challenge

The existing solution was outdated and incapable of supporting the expanding game portfolio. The system lacked scalability, making the addition of new games a time-consuming process. The client requested us to develop a new Remote Gaming Server to overcome the limitations of their legacy system.

Solution

DataArt’s team conducted a discovery workshop to gather insights into the system and business requirements, engaging domain experts, business analysts, solution architects, and senior software engineers. Subsequently, we assessed the existing system through a solution audit, stabilized it by supporting current games and features, and helped to evaluate whether to modernize the current system or build a new one from scratch in parallel.

The new system was designed to support existing games and features, seamlessly integrate with existing reporting and BI subsystems, efficiently manage data from an independent internal centralized master data system, smoothly integrate with partner systems with minimal adjustments, and handle current system loads while enabling both horizontal and vertical scalability.

Outcomes

The project resulted in implementing a Remote Gaming Server (RGS) that supports the client’s extensive games portfolio. This system was designed to be easily extendable, maintainable, operable, and certifiable, allowing for quick time to market for new games and features. It offers full multi-jurisdictional, multi-language, and multi-currency capabilities and can be hosted on-premise, in-cloud, or hybrid setups.
