Dedicated Development Centers: Scalable Teams Powered by AI

DataArt values long-term partnerships with clients over one-off engagements. To secure more mutually beneficial and extensive engagements, we offer a Dedicated Development Center (DDC), a customizable and transparent cooperation model that integrates AI-enabled delivery practices for smarter, faster results.

The Dedicated Development Center

The Dedicated Development Center best suits large teams working on lengthy projects. This engagement model increases IT value-for-money and ROI in the long run. In terms of total cost of ownership (TCO), a DDC is often more cost-effective compared to other outsourcing models (T&M, fixed price) or hiring an in-house engineering team.

At DataArt’s Dedicated Development Centers, we staff a team of IT professionals that concentrate on one project – yours. When hiring new team members, we take into account the unique needs of your business, technical requirements, and seniority levels of the specialists required for the project.

AI-powered talent matching and resource planning tools help us accelerate staffing, optimize team composition, and ensure continuous alignment with your project needs.

Our teams of highly-trained engineers have helped many businesses jumpstart their work with a shorter time-to-market, while remaining sustainable in the long-term. With AI-driven development support, we detect risks earlier, automate testing, and streamline delivery pipelines for greater efficiency.

Benefits of DDC

  • Strong, scalable (elastic) development and delivery capabilities out of the box enhanced by AI-based workload forecasting
  • Shorter time to market and higher success rate (compared to hiring a new in-house team) with AI-assisted project monitoring and predictive analytics
  • Controlled, maintainable production flow using AI for anomaly detection and process optimization
  • Manageable cost and dynamic pricing (scale-as-you-need, pay-as-you-use) supported by AI-driven cost optimization models
  • Reduced management, security and compliance risks through AI-powered monitoring and automated compliance checks
  • Reduced communication risks and predictable outcomes with AI-enabled knowledge management and collaboration tools
  • No need to register a legal entity in another country (in the countries where DataArt operates)
  • Secured IP rights
  • Transparent pricing (unbundled service rates)

F.A.Q.

Which kinds of projects are suited for the DDC model?

At DataArt, we define the following formal criteria for a DDC:

  • Minimum team size: 25+ full-time employees within first 12 months
  • Engagement length: 18+ months (ideally 3+ years)

We know from our experience that large and mid-size enterprises usually opt for a DDC to change their technology vendor for long engagements and/or add a new location to their geography.

Mature startups consider DDCs to extend their capacity by opening an office in offshore and/or outsource non-key competencies that their in-house team lacks. Growing startups choose DDCs to successfully pass all the steps of the journey and prepare their digital product for the next investment round.

AI-supported delivery models further benefit these companies by reducing ramp-up time, improving quality through automation, and providing predictive insights on project success.

Contact us if you are not sure whether your project is eligible for a DDC. We will advise you on the best engagement option to move forward.

What is included into the monthly DDC price?

The monthly rate includes expenses and services required for effective corporate support of the DDC team.

Other engagement-specific expenses are billed separately to provide better transparency and control over the cost. At DataArt, we usually provide these services to clients on a “pay-as-you-use” basis. AI-based reporting tools give clients full visibility into usage, costs, and performance metrics.

Will the DDC team be remote or collocated?

Both options are possible, but the type of model can affect the speed of staffing. AI-powered collaboration platforms and virtual workspaces ensure smooth productivity regardless of team location.
