Highlights
The joint team has developed a modern, scalable micro-service architecture on AWS:
- Integration with cruise providers via flat file data - the base for future microservices integrations;
- Domain model extension to cover air product integration
- Template-based approach to integrations with cruise providers to accelerate new provider onboarding from months to weeks;
- Core search engine leveraging AWS OpenSearch;
- Terraform for provisioning required resources and the infrastructure-as-code (IaC) approach;
- Improved resilience, scalability, and cost efficiency due to the use of AWS Lambda and AWS Step Functions.
DataArt engineers were closely involved in building the solution and were able to share their knowledge in approaching the development and working with AWS services to enable Traveltek to benefit from them in the future.
Outcomes
Traveltek leveraged AWS and DataArt to build a new integration platform using modern cloud-native services with scalability and cost-efficiency.
The template-based approach to new cruise providers’ onboarding reduced processing time from months to weeks. Being able to onboard more partners faster, Traveltek now helps their customers benefit from a wider variety of cruise providers improving their customers’ experience.
Along with this, through the engagement with DataArt, the Traveltek team improved their capabilities in approaching development and working with AWS services.
Technologies
The team has built new architecture on the SOLID design principles to the technical aspect and the Test Drive Development (TDD) approach.
