Client
Global Representacion Turistica (GRT) is a worldwide rail ticket booking operator with a presence in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. The company serves both B2C and B2B markets, offering services to end users as well as travel agents.
Partner role in project
DataArt’s experts designed and developed a new version of the rail booking solution, from proof of concept to minimum viable product. We handled UX/UI design, frontend, and backend integrations, delivering high-quality results throughout the process.
Challenge
During GRT's market research phase, the challenge was to quickly deliver a cost-effective, efficient, and scalable MVP. DataArt selected GCP for its reliability and comprehensive range of service offerings, enabling the team to rapidly launch the product with minimal resources, despite GRT having only one in-house DevOps engineer.
Solution
All GRT’s services were hosted on GCP, using Kubernetes Engine for containerization, Cloud Storage for file management, PostgreSQL as the primary database, Redis and Memcached for caching, Looker Studio for data analysis, and GCP's logging services for monitoring.
Result
Managed GCP services may not always be more cost-effective than self-managed solutions, but they proved worthwhile. They significantly enhanced product stability and removed the need for manual infrastructure maintenance. Moreover, Looker Studio's robust capabilities facilitated effective data structuring and visualization.
Success Story
xThe delivered application provided major enhancements to business operations functionality and usability. It met all predefined standards for visual design, quality, security, SEO, and performance. The users’ journey from selecting a route to completing a successful sale was significantly streamlined.
