In 2022, DataArt partnered with the World Aviation Festival as a Silver Sponsor and had a chance to exhibit and connect with industry professionals.

DataArt’s participation in the exhibition was not only essential to communicate new ideas and establish new contacts but also to support and raise awareness of our Ukrainian colleagues through charity activity organized at the event. For each person who came into our booth and hit a button on our Charity counter, DataArt committed to transfer $1 to a charity fund supporting Ukraine.

With more than 25 years of experience in aviation, Apurva Mathur joined the distribution panel at World Aviation Festival, entitled, “Has the power dynamic now fully shifted, and are we finally moving towards a modern way of retailing where we can reap the benefits of NDC, multi-modal, AI/ML and also (eventually) ONE Order?”

The distribution panel was moderated by Henry Harteveldt, President at Atmosphere Research Group, and included speakers from top airlines like KLM, Swiss Airlines, Lufthansa Group, and online retailers like Vipper and Dohop. The speakers discussed paths toward customer-centric retailing, how airlines use AI/ML to deliver more suitable offers, and what roles GDSs play in the new era of aviation retailing.

“It was an insightful discussion on how airlines and retailers are using technology to advance retailing throughout the journey value chain,” said Apurva Mathur.
