E-commerce Migration from Magento to nopCommerce

One of the biggest pharmaceutical retailers in south Europe. It has an e-commerce shop and delivery option worldwide.

Challenge

The client had a bespoke legacy system and Magento E-commerce solution with add-ons that were difficult to maintain and further develop. The client needed to unify business processes and create a single platform for numerous brands.

Solution Highlights

Disassembled the customer's legacy system, and implemented APIs instead of direct DB integration.
Developed a plan for data migration (customer data, addresses, orders history, product categories, etc.) from Magento to nopCommerce.
Implemented custom logic, and transferred logins and passwords without customers needing to reset their login information. Integrated nopCommerce with a product inventory management system to unify the work with the catalog as well as create, enrich, publish, print, and syndicate content.
