The client is a globally known provider of hotel services management services.

Challenge

The tested system is one the most popular solutions providing a full range of capabilities for automation within hotel services management (guests and tasks management, internal communications, etc.). The customer wished to identify the actual security state of the main web solution as well as both mobile applications and externally available hosts.

Solution

The services DataArt security experts provided included:

mobile applications penetration test
external network penetration test
cloud security audit.

DataArt was able to fully compromise the applications and the company’s network. The most critical of the identified vulnerabilities could provide a malicious user with the full access to guests’ data and their past hotel activities along with their booking IDs, room information, travel dates and payment details.

DataArt conducted training for the key internal members of the team as well as further advisory on remediation tactics. In the end, our client was able to develop better security practices.
