DataArt Extends Ground Transportation Distribution with a New Sabre Red App for SummitQwest

DataArt, a custom software development company that builds advanced solutions for select industries, has developed a Sabre Red App for SummitQwest, an industry leader in ground transportation management services, to support SummitQwest’s SummitLink® Ground Transportation Management Service.

SummitQwest commissioned DataArt, an Authorized Sabre Developer, to build the SummitLink® Red App, which allows travel agents to receive price quotes, book, and manage chauffeured ground transportation real-time from a global network of ground transportation providers.

DataArt designed the application architecture, developed the Red App, integrated it with the existing SummitLink® web solution and managed the application documentation and certification process. The app is free for travel agents and travel management companies using the Sabre travel marketplace to shop, book and manage travel.

Agents can fully integrate the SummitLink® Red App into the Sabre Red Workspace to expedite the process of booking chauffeured transportation, with significant cost savings to the client by restricting service to their preferred car companies with the best rates, and by using the SummitLink® Car Affiliate Network to access local providers and best pricing throughout the world. The App is launched from within the Sabre Red Workspace and incorporates passenger name record (PNR) information to prepopulate the car service reservation. The SummitLink® Red App can easily be incorporated into the booking workflow, making the process of booking ground transportation more effective and efficient by decreasing the amount of time it takes to make a car service reservation while increasing the accuracy and transparency of the reservation process.

The SummitLink® Red App allows also allows agents to modify and cancel car service reservations directly from the Sabre Red Workspace. Travel agents can request this free app from SummitQwest directly or via their company's Sabre Administrator. The Sabre® Red™ App Centre is the world’s first B2B app marketplace for the travel industry, where agents can shop and order Red Apps that they can use to extend the capabilities of their Sabre® Red™ Workspace.
