The Client

The client is an online grocery market specialized in the home delivery of food and beverages. The company aims to revolutionize the way people shop by giving them a uniquely innovative and greener alternative to traditional grocery shopping.

The Business Challenge

To improve retention and customer satisfaction, the client decided to add interactive shopping functionality to the site, which was supposed to include more than 100 thousand recipes. Functionality had to add a choice of combinations for accompanying products with functionality called «Lists and Dishes».

Solution

DataArt created a subsite and an app functionality (for iOS and Android) for customers to search for recipes, buy ingredients, and choose options for their diet. Every time person finds a suitable recipe he/she can buy products directly from the client's website. Functionality was applied on product pages where range of actions has been extended with not only best search recommendations (using ML search), but with recipe recommendations for specific products and offers which increased online sales by 7%.

The client got a simplified shopping process, modified UX\UI, increased customer loyalty and higher customer retention rates​.
