Software QA Days Seminar
Two DataArt employees from the QA department, Arthur Vylkost and Vasily Malinov, recently attended a seminar during the Second Software QA Days conference. The seminar, Why Software Projects Fail, How to Diagnose Potential Failure and How to Make your Projects Sucessful, was delivered by the distinguished consultant Tom Gilb and dealt with issues of quality for software development processes.
Among the various subjects discussed during the seminar, several covered innovative and effective software engineering approaches. One such application, developed by Tom Gilb, is Evolutionary Project Management (Evo). Evo is very effective because of its ability to address the inherent dynamics in the modern world of IT development. Other approaches, also discussed and developed by Gilb, were Requirements-Driven Management and P-Language.
Some of the useful ideas that were discussed at the seminar are now being brought to life in the DataArt QA department. These implementations will continue the steady improvement of quality for DataArt development processes.
