DataArt Helps Launch Bounce – The Minicab App
Online travel start-up partners with DataArt to compete with existing taxi companies on price, speed and reliability
LONDON – May 20, 2014 – DataArt, a custom software development partner for travel, hospitality and other industries, today announced it has completed the development of a minicab booking service for Bounce, a minicab app start-up that connects passengers directly to TfL licensed drivers, without the need for traditional minicab companies. The mobile application (for Android & iPhone) provides a robust, scalable cloud-based service for Bounce’s customers to book minicabs in London with superior speed, reliability and costs savings.
The solution enables Bounce to bypass middle-man minicab companies and easily match passengers with the closest TfL licensed drivers available, offering a fixed price and cutting traditional taxi prices by up to 40%. Developers at DataArt built a dispatch system for Bounce to track the minicab drivers’ locations, match orders with the closest available driver and estimate taxi arrival time.
DataArt also built Bounce’s secure customer relationship management (CRM) back-end functionality for operational and analytical purposes based on Bounce specifications. DataArt implemented the CRM function to enhance Bounce with an online geographical information system, a card payment processing service and mobile messaging to easily manage all incoming inquiries.
