Why couldn't tech predict the US election results?
Tech Radar explains how opinion polls work and discusses with industry leaders the reasons technology can’t quite predict the outcome of elections. Dmitry Bagrov, head of DataArt UK, shares his thoughts on AI.
"For it to be possible for AI to predict an election outcome, one would need to analyse every available data variable that could affect a conscious human decision – including the weather forecast and historical data – in order to predict what the crowd will do," says Dmitry Bagrov, MD UK of DataArt.
