Stuart Ellis has 25 years of experience working at all levels of the travel sector. After studying in UK & Germany, then working overseas for a number of years after graduation, Stuart began his career working in the groups business, before moving into tour operating with the UK market leader - Thomson/TUI. He also spent time at Emirates, running the UK tour operations business for the airline during a rapid-growth phase of their business. Mr. Ellis then moved back to GTA, and looked after European, LATAM & EMEA sales and operations teams through until the business was acquired by Kuoni in 2011. After supervising the integration with the equivalent Kuoni businesses, Stuart then joined Totalstay as Chief Commercial Officer and was instrumental in building that business into an attractive proposition for its sale to Jac Travel/Vitruvian in 2015, and then again as CCO of the combined business, leading the commercial operations through until the acquisition by Webjet in 2017. After a year’s sabbatical, Mr. Ellis has worked for the past 18 months as a non-executive director, board advisor and consultant, setting up his own business and has invested personally in some small start-up businesses both in UK and overseas – joining the boards of those companies in an advisory capacity. He is a specialist in travel trends, commercial negotiation & has developed a travel technology portfolio which uses his significant global network & communication skills to complement the existing technology skills of his clients.
