Sales Manager, DACH Market

Position Overview

DataArt is a global software engineering firm. With over 20 years of experience, teams of highly-trained engineers around the world, deep industry sector knowledge, and ongoing technology research, we help clients create custom software that improves their operations and opens new markets. Currently, we are looking for sales individuals eager to help us to develop business in the DACH region, focusing on innovative technological projects.

We are looking for result-oriented professionals that would be instrumental in expanding DataArt’s presence in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The sales manager is responsible for generating leads, as well as qualifying and securing new business opportunities. This individual will work in close cooperation with the sales team and other sales support units. The position requires frequent regional travel (maximum five days per month).

ABOUT DATAART

Responsibilities

  • Strong emphasis on the acquisition of new business
  • Maintaining the full sales cycle: prospecting, identifying, & closing new business deals
  • Planning and execution of sales campaigns in cooperation with sales assistant colleagues
  • Work with different sales channels: networking, cold calling, events participation, partnerships
  • Business development in existing accounts
  • Handling of inbound orders

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in business, communication, or information technology
  • Several years of experience in the sale of software solutions and IT services
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English
  • Self-Management
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Nice to have

  • Understanding of the retail, financial services, insurance, and healthcare industries
  • A well-developed network of personal contacts
  • Experience in software outsourcing
  • Good understanding of software development processes and technologies
