QA Manager, Online Retailer

Position Overview

Our client is one of the biggest online retailers worldwide with yearly revenue of £1 billion. We have a long history of relationships and over the years have helped the client to develop web-portals and mobile apps, delivery control systems, staff management tools, data storage and much more. The systems we’ve built together work in production 24/7. DataArt provides consultation and development of the software for the client in both areas of their activities: online sales and creation of the cross-functional retail platform.

The QA Manager will have the opportunity to accelerate product delivery and to improve the quality of product by integrating testing activities at all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

You will be a part of an engineering team, which means that you will participate in all discussions and decisions as an advocate of quality and reliability of the product.

Your focus is on the organization, implementation, and coordination of the testing process at all stages of the SDLC, developing code for the testing framework and writing automated tests rather than trying to find bugs by yourself.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in IT management and QA automation
  • Able to set up testing in a Scrum team (creation of test strategy, testing roadmap, test plan, test case)
  • Hands-on knowledge of Java, JavaScript (React is a plus)
  • Experience with Kafka with a microservice architecture
  • Excellent understanding and practical experience in using of Junit, Test NG, Rest-Assured, E2E testing
  • Experience of unit testing, integration testing
  • Experience setting up CI for testing/reporting
  • Knowledge of Gitlab, Linux console, Rest, Soap, SQL
  • Able to introduce to the development team new work patterns and approaches: Shift-left testing, Testing pyramid, Three-Amigos
