DataArt's Ecosystem
DataArt is careful to protect and enhance the knowledge ecosystem in the areas where it works. Due to our close cooperation with the University of Precision Mechanics and Optics, where our first offices were located, and with the Mathematics-Mechanical Faculty of St. Petersburg State University, where some of our employees are professors, we are able to recruit from the very top students. These two universities academic standing are recognized by the fact that they both have been winning many awards at the World's Olympiad on Programming, held by ACM.
More than three years ago, DataArt management identified the competitive advantages of combining these two groups of specialists inside a development team. Their expertise in production and scientific spheres adds great benefit to their abilities in the development of computer software.
As the process of migration of specialists from science and the defense industry to the field of computer technologies began to climax in Russia, DataArt began to pay attention to a select group of graduates from specialized universities, such as the Academy of Adult Education and Computer Academy SoftJoys. Now more than 20% of managers and experts in DataArt have postgraduate degrees.
DataArt's goal is to provide modern services based on serious technical solutions. The cooperation of our senior partners, all recognized industrial leaders, provides us with a unique, professional perspective. DataArt has a partnership with Microsoft, and DataArt's participation in the .NET early-adopters program was noted by Bill Gates at the launch of VS.NET.
In the field of Linux and Java-technologies, DataArt calls upon its partnership with IBM, and the result has been not only high-quality technological solutions, but also leading positions in IT-consulting and outsourcing.
In the majority of projects, DataArt is a supplier of complete solutions. We make up for any lack of experience in specific technological fields by cooperating with consultants and partners specializing in those areas. For example, Fors Spb, the leading partner of Oracle in St. Petersburg, sometimes helps us in solutions connected with the use of Oracle Applications.
Furthermore, our cooperation with DataArt UK (London) and DataArt-Perm (Perm), both companies created in 2000 with DataArt participation, helps to provide additional resources and also protection from regional risks.
The main planning centers for management and sales for DataArt are concentrated in the two capital cities of the world, New-York and London. This helps the company remain confident that it has the pulse of the markets in this time of rapid changes and globalization. St. Petersburg, longtime recognized as the cultural and intellectual center of Russia, a city in which western level of life is available for a much lower price, creates wonderful conditions for recruiting and maintaining a productive, innovative, and stable group of professionals. Our staff's esprit de corps is based on principles of personal friendship and professional competition; the level of turnover in DataArt is less than 3% a year, which provides our customers with a hard working team that functions as a unit.
