Strong Teams Deliver, or Don’t Let Economics Run Ahead of Quality

We rely on senior, top-level software engineering talent to get the job done. There’re two key components to making it work:

  • Exceptionally low turnover. Out annual employee turnover has always been below 5%: whether in an economic boom or a crisis, we work on keeping our best employees (which means nearly everyone) and our client’s teams stable. That’s well below the industry’s average during the best of times, and, frankly, unimaginable to those who saw firsthand what happened at many large India-based vendors before 2008.
  • Today, as the economy begins to improve, we’re confident we can keep the same stable and loyal team. We’re the only outsourcing vendor around who will agree to write team turnover limits into the contract.
  • Low leverage. The not-too-well-kept secret of the outsourcing industry is that many vendors make most money on their cheapest, lowest cost staff – that’s why they often put 10 junior people where two senior would do, advertising false cost savings. The cost per head is indeed low – the only catch is that the job does not get done. We don’t like that business. We use the right mix of talent for the task and don’t let economics run ahead of quality.
