Hedge Fund & Investment Technology Magazine dedicates a feature to the growing phenomenon of IT outsourcing in the financial industry. The article collects opinions of buy side executive on critical issues not to be overlooked when approaching the subject, such as due diligence of potential outsourcing providers, their flexibility, expertise and prior experience. The story quotes one of DataArt clients as saying: "One thing that all IT managers at hedge funds should be cognisant of is the fact that there are very few people out there with the expertise to build customized financial software tools". The article goes on to mention DataArt as one of such companies, and quotes Alexei Miller, the company's EVP, who observes that "there is an increase in the numbers of asset managers looking to proactively manage their outsurced operations," and there are "more targeted, contained outsourcing arrangements".
