DataArt Project Leader Attends Oracle Forum

DataArt's head of corporate systems development Alexander Malyshev, attended Oracle ISV Forum at the Raivola hotel in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The forum's seminars and panels included Oracle products presentations, announcements of new features and upcoming releases of Oracle product lines, and discussions of potential future partnerships. Oracle partners reported on success stories of Oracle based projects, including security and GIS (Geo Information Systems) for the insurance industry,
"I noticed two major changes at the Forum" said Malyshev. "First, Oracle is gradually turning to the SMB sector, seen from the fact that by 2005 nearly 40% of Oracle clients worldwide are SMBs - a tendency aligned with DataArt's SMB offering. Second, the perception that Oracle is an expensive and supremely complicated system to administer is slowly changing, which is a welcome development"
"I also enjoyed the entertainment at the Forum, as it was full of festivities, with folk dancing and several picnics."
