DataArt Hosts Automata-Based Programming Press Conference

June 13, 2006
DataArt’s VP of Global Project Management, Artyom Astafurov, held a press conference regarding Automata-Based Programming (ABP) technology at St.Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. DataArt’s presentation was attended by executives of the Russian branch of General Motors and a delegation of respected reporters from various automotive industry journals and news sources.

The conference discussed the innovative ABP approach to programming and described its effectiveness in enhancing software development. Automata-Based Programming is a paradigm whose defining characteristic is the use of finite state machines to describe program behavior. The new technology combines application design with the interactive control systems approach, allowing for real-time and embedded systems solutions. ABP is ideal for the representation of complex behavior and is applicable to static structure and application behavior design.

"The highly reliable ABP program has applications in military, aerospace and automotive industries," said Astafurov. "DataArt engineers are proud to be involved in developing the latest in programming technologies."
