DataArt attended and presented at LISA Global Strategies Summit 2004

DataArt recently attended and presented at LISA (the Localization Industry Standards Association) Global Strategies Summit 2004, in San-Francisco. This event focused on the issues of global content management and software localization and support. Software localization is an extremely dynamic industry, with an ever-increasing demand for 'global' software. The linguistic technology and standards are finally rising up to par and supporting localization processes. The speakers from more than the forty panels, discussion groups and workshops encouraged their audiences to buid knowledge-centric systems and use the innovations for truly helpful solutions.

Alexei Miller, Director of Project Management at DataArt, gave a presentation on Best Practices in Outsourcing for Small and Medium-size enterprises. Based on DataArt's many years of experience with this segment of the market, he shared his views on the differences in outsourcing approaches between large and small companies. Driven by relationship and person-focused processes, DataArt's approach proves to be successful for companies that don't have the resources of a large firm but still want to reap the benefits of offshore outsourcing.
