DataArt’s R&D Center in St. Petersburg Hosts MBA Students from Babson College School of Business

March 27, 2009

A group of MBA students from Babson School of Business visited DataArt’s development center in St. Petersburg, Russia to better acquaint themselves with the specifics of conducting business in Russia. The exchange students spent a day with DataArt developers and HR managers to learn about DataArt’ success stories in delivering value to its clients around the globe and to discuss the importance of cross-cultural communications.

DataArt St. Petersburg is a member of Cross-Cultural Russian-American Project curated by The Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg State University. Tanya Andrianova, DataArt’s SVP of Human Resources, spoke about the company’s solid track record in financial and other verticals of expertise, and explained the steps DataArt takes to align client’s expectations and DataArt’s business processes, allowing the company to remain a leader in the custom software development, with a 90% client retention rate.

“We believe that face-to-face communication is the best way to reach an understanding between parties,” said Andrianova. “We practice it with our clients whenever possible, and were happy to leave a favorable impression on the Babson College students, some of whom might become our clients in the future.”

“It was an eye-opening experience,” said Ashley Seehusen, an MBA student from Babson College. “We were truly impressed with DataArt’s sophisticated ways of conducting business, its established work processes and employees’ communications skills. Compared with India and China, this visit to DataArt in St. Petersburg was almost an American experience”
