DataArt President Addresses Russian-American Outsourcing Conference

Eugene Goland, President of DataArt, addressed the Russian-American Conference and Exhibition at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The event was organized by the Mid-Atlantic Russian Business Council (MARBC) in conjunction with the Corporate and Channel Computing Expo (C3 EXPO) in order to facilitate the cooperation of business and technology ventures between Russian and American companies.

The conference featured panels and presentations that covered the most pressing issues of international business and technology partnership. Goland spoke as an established outsourcing leader, discussing the emergence of Russia on the outsourcing technology market. The President shared DataArt’s SME experience and skills and discussed the role of OOBP.org in facilitating knowledge exchange between clients and vendors.

"Russia’s research and development capabilities are beginning to stand out in the global marketplace," said Goland. "The conference highlighted partnership opportunities and advantages for American companies interested in outsourcing abroad."

DataArt Organizes Professional IT Competition in Voronezh, Russia

DataArt organized the first Professional IT Competition at Voronezh State University (VSU). The contest challenged participants from the Applied Mathematics and Mechanics Department to test their knowledge through actual software development scenarios.

The competition involved tasks of algorithm computation, DBMS (Database Management Systems), reasoning assessment and managerial thinking. Judged by DataArt executives, the participants worked to successfully complete nine tasks over the course of two hours. The Voronezh State University Academic Council presented DataArt with a certificate of appreciation “for the promotion of student advancement and academic excellence”.

DataArt Executives Attend SIA Technology Management Conference in New York

DataArt executives from the New York office attended the annual SIA Technology Management Conference & Exhibit at New York Hilton hotel. The Security Industry Association's annual exhibition brought together a record 250 vendors of finance and security industry products and services.

According to Alexei Miller, the company’s EVP, DataArt executives focused on establishing partner relations with vendors of complimentary solutions presented at the show, in order to offer clients joint integration and deployment services. The meetings focused on reviewing the latest technology developments and vendor offerings in areas of algorithmic trading, smart order routing, portfolio analytics, market data storage and stream based event processing. As a result, several new projects were initiated during the three-day exhibit.

DataArt Hosts Automata-Based Programming Press Conference

DataArt’s VP of Global Project Management, Artyom Astafurov, held a press conference regarding Automata-Based Programming (ABP) technology at St.Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. DataArt’s presentation was attended by executives of the Russian branch of General Motors and a delegation of respected reporters from various automotive industry journals and news sources.

The conference discussed the innovative ABP approach to programming and described its effectiveness in enhancing software development. Automata-Based Programming is a paradigm whose defining characteristic is the use of finite state machines to describe program behavior. The new technology combines application design with the interactive control systems approach, allowing for real-time and embedded systems solutions. ABP is ideal for the representation of complex behavior and is applicable to static structure and application behavior design.

"The highly reliable ABP program has applications in military, aerospace and automotive industries," said Astafurov. "DataArt engineers are proud to be involved in developing the latest in programming technologies."

DataArt Executives Attend Roundtable Forum with Austrian IT Companies in Moscow

DataArt executives participated in a roundtable forum for leading Austrian and Russian IT companies in Moscow. The symposium was organized by the Moscow Government and Austrian Trade Comission with a goal of establishing partnerships between Austrian and Russian IT businesses.

DataArt executives met with representatives of several Austrian IT companies, including ITBeuropa and AIVET, and discussed possible future cooperation. President of the International Congress Management GmbH, Dr. Gerhard Hrebicek, invited DataArt to participate in the next international conference concerning IT industry in Central and Eastern Europe.

"This initiative brought together serious IT players from Vienna, Moscow and St. Petersburg," said Stanislav Kosachev of DataArt, who attended the event. "The forum demonstrated that there are some interesting perspectives for possible collaboration between the two countries."
