DataArt Announces Formation of DataArt Finance

During its annual conference in St. Petersburg, Russia, DataArt's President Eugene Goland reported the company's continuous growth in 2004, and announced formation of DataArt Finance, a dedicated group within the company, specializing in servicing financial services and asset management institutions.

Alexei Miller, Executive Vice President of Project Management, stressed that DataArt's consistent growth is largely based on the company's extensive expertise in the financial IT area acquired over the last several years. "DataArt is new type of a software consultancy, offering advanced technology expertise and significant cost savings through the use of our offshore software resources". He underlined enterprise application development, system integration and mathematical research as key offerings of the new group.

The newly formed group will strengthen DataArt's technology offerings in the investment management and hedge fund space in the U.S. and Europe.

DataArt Hosts 2nd Global Leadership Forum

DataArt hosted the second annual Global Leadership Forum with participation of the leading U.S. outsourcing experts. Representatives of Unisys, Outsourcing Institute and Media First shared their views on the latest trends in global sourcing.

The highlights of the event were presentations by Oliver Houck of Outsourcing Institute on e-Sourcing Capability Model for Service Providers (eSCM-SP) and Michael Zavileysky, COO of DataArt on client demands from outsourcing vendors. Mr. Houck reviewed existing models and standards of certification, and pointed that eSCM addresses the entire sourcing process and provides a new method to appraise capabilities and guidance for improvement in IT-enabled sourcing services. Additionally, Judy Arteche-Carr, Executive Director of Global Outsourcing and Infrastructure Services at Unisys reviewed best practices in BPO/BPT while Loretta Prencipe, Director of Media First and a member of DataArt's advisory board, noted the growing interest to Russian outsourcing in the Western media. Julia Zavyleyskaya announced the launch of RusWIT, the Russian chapter of WorldWIT.org.
