New Directions for Team Spirit

August 28, 2004
DataArt has always supported an expanding Team Spirit. So encouraged, a group of enthusiasts took this to mean in all directions, including the vertical. They spent the weekend spelunking and hiking the caves of Sablino.

New Directions for Team SpiritNew Directions for Team Spirit

This beautiful cavern range near St. Petersburg is one the most extraordinary destinations for lovers of the extreme. The group of DataArt employees ventured through the largest cavern marveling at the fantastic sight of stalactites and stalagmites. They took pictures and enjoyed themselves playing the part of brave explorers. Since such spontaneous team building events are always the most memorable and enjoyable, everyone came home very pleased and relaxed.

The 1st Partners' Summit, consisting of a seminar and an informal party, took place October 28 and laid the foundation for future quarterly meetings.

August 28, 2004
DataArt places a high value on the references good relations can bring. That's how the DataArt partnership network was born and became one of the most important sources of project initiation. According to the recently published Report the number of projects initiated with the help of our partners equals 59% of DataArt's total.

The company management could not help but notice this trend, and as a result a special program for Partner Support was designed. The aim of the seminar was to demonstrate this program in action and show how everyone can benefit from it. As this was the first summit and party of this kind, the entire DataArt team was concerned about the outcome.

Partners' Summit
The 1st Partners' Summit, consisting of a seminar and an informal party, took place October 28 and laid the foundation for future quarterly meetings

At the seminar, presentations were made by DataArt chief managers Michael Zaitsev, Alexei Miller and Eugene Goland. DataArt is especially happy about the presentations given by Aaron Warschpress and Mikhail Nabedrik, two DataArt partners. It was good to hear constructive remarks concerning the work with DataArt (a kind of "Best Practices" or "How to Work With DataArt as Your Partner") instead of a generic song of praise.

"I am glad that the summit was so successful," says DataArt President Eugene Goland. "It was wonderful to see such a turn out. We will work on making future summits even more constructive and useful for the DataArt partners."

DataArt heartily thanks all those who attended the event.

Millennium Care Project Successfully Finished

August 27, 2004
DataArt has successfully finished a software project for Millennium Care Inc., a leading provider of technical support and customer care solutions. DataArt developed an Admin Module for I-CareTM (Incident Care), service chain automation application software for both technical support and contact centers.

The Admin Module gives administrators a convenient web-based user interface to work with all of the system entities and relationships. It's also worth mentioning the flexible permission control, the ability to postpone any change for later approval, and the ability to undo already implemented changes.

Once more the DataArt specialists have shown excellent skill in working with the software developed by another company. The challenge was gaining an understanding for the complex database backend. The desired project development results were achieved once again with the proven system of weekly reviews and conference calls with the client.

"I have had an opportunity to sit with clients as we demo our new Admin Module, and I am pleased to report it is being received very well. This important project was critical to our cost avoidance and revenue generating strategy, and although our requirements were not sound upon kick-off, the result came in better than anticipated thanks to the collaboration between the DataArt and MCare technology teams."

- Michael Hilmer, Millennium Care Inc., President & CEO.

DataArt can share its knowledge with clients on how to produce higher benefits when outsourcing offshore.

August 26, 2004
During the August 26 conference at the DataArt's Head Office in New York, Mr. Sergey Guskov, a renowned expert in corporate strategy and co- founder of a non-profit association Russian Digital Alliance, presented his well-known research work "RDA Economic Model of Offshore Relationships." The research examines the specifics of projects that point to a better development process offshore. In particular, Mr. Guskov commented "Projects with a higher need for coordination inside the team will produce higher benefits when taken offshore."

We at DataArt are confident that the knowledge of such peculiarities will greately promote the choice of offshore versus onshore outsourcing for different types of projects.
