DataArt Continues the Path of Success: Launches DataArt Finance; Hosts Global Leadership Forum
DataArt has once again demonstrated that Russian IT can show a thing or two to its Indian counterparts.
At a recently held annual conference in St. Petersburg, Russia, attended by leading U.S. outsourcing experts,
Eugene Goland, DataArt's president, announced formation of DataArt Finance,
a dedicated group within the company, specializing in servicing financial services and asset management institutions.
He pointed that DataArt's consistent growth is largely based on the company's extensive expertise in the financial
IT area acquired over the last several years, underlining enterprise application development, system integration
and mathematical research as key offerings of the new group.
On day two, representatives of Unisys, Outsourcing Institute and Media First shared their views on the latest
trends in global sourcing. Global Leadership Forum,
was highlighted with presentations by Oliver Houck of Outsourcing Institute on e-Sourcing Capability Model for Service
Providers (eSCM-SP) and Michael Zavileysky, COO of DataArt, on client demands from outsourcing vendors. Mr. Houck
reviewed existing models and standards of certification, and pointed that eSCM addresses the entire sourcing
process and provides a new method to appraise capabilities and guidance for improvement in IT-enabled sourcing
services. Additionally, Judy Arteche-Carr, Executive DIrector of Global Outsourcing and Infrastructure Services at
Unisys reviewed best practices in BPO/BPT while Loretta Prencipe, member of DataArt's advisory board, noted the growing interest in the Western media to
Russian outsourcing. "Russian outsourcing should not repeat the path of India" stated Michael Zavileysky,
DataArt's COO. "Russian providers should continue on their own path: they are ideal for solving complex problems
and it has always been our strong selling point."
