leading charities dedicated to researches into the
causes, treatment and prevention of cancer. It
supports the work of over 3,000 scientists,
doctors and nurses across the UK and funds a lot
of other scientists at the UK universities. Cancer
Research UK's annual allocations for scientific
services amount to more than £213 million,
which are raised almost entirely through public
donations.
