A major new survey and white paper "Driving Business Value from IT: Optimizing the New IT Environment", produced by Mercury in co-operation with The Economist Intelligence Unit, taps into DataArt's expertise in offshore outsourcing to address the issues of Business Technology Optimization and new models of IT outsourcing.
Quoting Eugene Goland, the President of DataArt, the survey states that outsourcing only makes sense when the rewards outweigh the risks. Most clients want to keep hold of applications that directly affects customers, to ensure the best level of experience and support. "It boils down to the total cost of ownership and the enterprise risk exposure for determining what a company will keep inside and what they will outsource", says Goland.
The survey also addresses Strategic sourcing for IT; Regulatory compliance and its impact on IT; Complexity in the application environment and Optimizing IT value.
