August 23, 2004New vacancies for senior positions have been announced, and an open contest is being held to fill them. The move is intended to encourage DataArt employees to assess their own potential, and to spur talented people to reach higher. It is also an opportunity to find new people fitting the DataArt mindset for top management positions.
The contest for vacancies is open to all comers, and a continually updated list of current vacancies will be maintained.
Both DataArt employees and outside applicants will participate on a level footing in contending for available positions. While existing DataArtists may have an obvious head-start, an executive committee, including DataArt directors Mikhail Zavileysky and Alexey Filimonov, will evaluate each application on its own merits to ensure the right job goes to the right person.
One upcoming vacancy to be filled in the very near future is Vice President of Knowledge Management. This position is responsible for organizing and developing the corporate knowledge base, supporting education centers created by DataArt, establishing corporate training and learning programs, and consulting and supporting DataArt resellers and representative offices. The position also promotes DataArt's knowledge base within end user groups including university students.
Another vacancy is for Chief System Administrator. This person is responsible for overseeing quality in system administration services and providing service coordination, resource management, and shift scheduling. Regular reports to top management are expected along with guidance on projects dealing with virtual environments for globally distributed user groups. Establishing a system administration service for outsourcing to offshore processes is another key responsibility for this position.
Together with a well organized knowledge management service and powerful staff development, employees' expert knowledge and specialized skills will be put to use in the most effective areas. As this also expands the current company knowledge base, the effectiveness of knowledge usage will continue to grow. At the same time, the System Administration Service will provide more dedicated and careful maintenance of clients and workgroups.
