Mikhail Zavileysky, head of DataArt's St. Petersburg office, has recently begun taking a new course at the Stockholm School of Economics called, "Branding - Corporate Religion".
May 30, 2004The program focuses on the latest tendencies of branding, the most economical means of organizational management, and how to create a dream market.
The curriculum is lead by teachers who have acquired practical experience within many areas and are well known as strategic brand consultants.
Divided into three modules, the course takes place in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Stockholm. The first module, "Knowing the Brand", is dedicated to the management, development, and relationship qualities of brands. The second module, "Building the Brand", includes 4D branding, commercial myth creation, brand archetypes, and corporate religion. And the third module, "Living the Brand", explores international, corporate, and personal brand building strategies.
Over the period of study, Mikhail will develop a strategic Company Brand Development Project.

We're inviting everybody to take part in the testing of DataArt's new site and check on all the details. We are glad to receive any and all of your comments. Both the original and the demo sites will be working concurrently.
DataArt's current site has received many kind words including a chapter about it in the new book, "Make your Small Business Website Work". But the time has come when we have new requirements and we hope the new DataArt site will answer all our needs.

Pochtamtskaya St. Welcoming remarks were given by Vladimir Polutin the Vice Chairman, and the Executive Committee. Also on the agenda was the Introduction of new members and the Keynote Speaker from Deputy Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District.
Mikhail Zavileysky back from New York
May 21, 2004The main purpose of Mikhail Zavileysky's recent visit to the New York office, from the 8th to the 18th, was to agree key dimensions of the business plan for the next three years. In the first draft of the plan, which should be completed by the beginning of the third quarter this year, future goals and values of the company were laid out. In the near future DataArt's main direction of development will be to specialize and focus on areas where expertise is important for clients; this will increase the company’s value and allow a move from subcontracting to partnership.
DataArt employee scores high at Java Certification
May 20, 2004On May, 20, DataArt developer Alexey Filippov became a Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform 1.4. He passed the test successfully and even showed a knowledge superfluity in Java programming. Over the last few years the passing score of the test has been loweredto 52 %. Alexey scored 93 %, showing a very high level of professional skill. He scored up to 100% in the analysis sections of Language Fundamentals, Fundamental Classes in the java.lang package, the Collections Framework, Threads, Overloading, Overriding, Runtime, Type, and Object Orientation.
