March 26, 2004DataArt has signed a Software Development Contract with a leading preclinical research and drug evaluation company. DataArt will assist the Company in developing a comprehensive workflow package to support its day-to-day operations. The project will be another important case study of implementing complex enterprise workflow packages using the web-enabled technologies. DataArt will take an iterative approach, providing for optimal process evaluation by the client, and ensuring that the most current business requirements are met.

March 25, 2004The DataArt Strategic Advisory Board has been formed to provide the Company with valuable strategic advice and insight from leading members of business, technology, industry and civic communities in the United States and Russian Federation.
The decision was made to hold the first meeting of the advisory board members. The meeting is scheduled to be held on April 21 in New York.

March 24, 2004DataArt is pleased to announce that the preliminary agreement has been signed for its new office. The new office will be located on Bolshoi Samsonievski Ave and have 1,500 sq. meters of floor space. The move is scheduled for the beginning of summer. The following picture will give you a better idea of how comfortable and convenient the new location will be.

In order to stay on the front lines, DataArt is now developing a version of its EMR system that will be specifically tailored to the needs of an IME business with experts all over the continent.
DataArt took part in the Microsoft Partner Program seminar.
March 22, 2004On March 10, 2004, DataArt took part in the Microsoft Partner Program seminar of the Southwest region of the Russian Federation. The seminar consisted of several sessions devoted to various areas of the Microsoft Partner Program. At the session on marketing and sales, representatives of DataArt learned about the changes in the Microsoft Certified Partner and Gold Certified Partner programs. They have begun what is known as competency programs, in which Microsoft partners receive points for proving their competency in one of the many areas, one of them is having knowledge of ISV. In order to prove competency, the company must cite three client reviews, as well as some additional proof. After this, Microsoft promotes the companies on their own website.
Beginning in April it will be necessary to demonstrate one's competency in at least one area in order to attain the status of a Microsoft Certified Partner. Until then, a company can become a Microsoft Partner under the old rules. At the session devoted to the technical side, DataArt representatives attended a lecture on Exchange 2003, and received a presentation CD.
