February 19, 2004Eugene Goland, President of DataArt, gave a presentation at the CIO Community of Practice Meeting in Silicon Valley and participated in the round table discussion. The topic of this meeting was the practice of off-shoring. Eugene Goland presented the details and advantages of using Russian software outsourcing firms. Topics discussed included security, means of communication, US job loss, and cost savings. The CIO Community of Practice membership includes leading Silicon Valley IT firms, such as Synopsis, Yahoo, Alcatel, and Symantec.
