DataArt SVP is a Panelist at the Zicklin School of Business
February 28, 2007Marina Kolesnik, Senior VP at DataArt, participated in the panel entitled “Managing in Turbulent Times” at the Zicklin School of Business (CUNY) in Manhattan.
The panel addressed the problems and opportunities that globalization and diversity present for today’s managers, how technology affects organizational structures, and what is needed to create a high performance culture.
Kolesnik stressed that rapid changes in technology require businesses to adapt quickly to stay ahead of the competition, which often means investing in new technologies. She mentioned that Globalization allows managers an opportunity to tap into a global talent pool with an access to new markets, while posing the challenges of managing different cultures, working around the clock, and extensive travel. Among tools for creating a high performance structure, she listed the importance of non-monetary compensation and motivation, such as stock options, employee loyalty programs, and life style balance options, all of which are present in DataArt corporate culture.
The Zicklin School of Business is the largest collegiate school of business in the nation and the only unit of the City University of New York that offers business programs accredited by the AACSB-International Association for Management Education.
