DataArt Sponsors SME Vendor Selection Survey by OOBP.org
December 12, 2005DataArt continues to support important initiatives in determining the best practices in SME outsourcing, and will sponsor a comprehensive Vendor Selection Survey dedicated to the issues of selecting the right software outsourcing vendor. Initiated by OOBP.org, the study is the first of its kind, and aims to help SMEs overcome the obstacles and avoid mistakes in a vendor selection process. Results of the survey will be incorporated into the "Global Sourcing Methodology for Small and Medium Enterprises", currently developed by OOBP.org and the SME Global Sourcing Chapter of The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals
A Webinar dedicated to the Formation of the SME Global Sourcing Chapter will take place on January 19, 2006 at 1 PM EST, and the survey results will be announced at the chapter first meeting on February 22 during The 2006 Outsourcing World Summit in Orlando, Florida.

DataArt President Speaks at the NJ Technology Council IT Expo
December 07, 2005Eugene Goland, President of DataArt, participated in the Outsourcing Panel at the New Jersey Technology Council IT Expo in Newark, NJ. Goland shared DataArt's success stories in IT outsourcing, discussed global sourcing in the emerging SME segment and addressed the issues and risks involved in a vendor selection process, which resonated well with the large audience of IT executives and academia. "I was surprised and encouraged by the concern of the audience for the need of specific guidelines and methodologies in SME outsourcing", said Goland. "The event demonstrated that the industry professionals are starting to pay more attention to the segment. I was also glad to see the enormous potential of New Jersey companies".
