Engagement Manager, Finance Practice

Position Overview

DataArt is looking for a highly qualified Engagement Manager to define and lead client engagements from inception through to successful business outcomes for clients. Core responsibilities include operation of the account management process for their client portfolio and new business development through networking and other methods.


  • Create, manage and lead a portfolio of client engagements focused on achieving significant business outcomes for clients by developing new or re-engineering existing IT systems, products and services;
  • Operate the finance practice account management process to ensure maximum client satisfaction and optimized revenue for DataArt;
  • Own client relationship and customer experience as main point of contact and escalation;
  • Shape engagements, scope projects and help define business solutions that best satisfy client needs and help them achieve their desired business outcomes;
  • Track engagement and project performance against account metrics;
  • Translate client’s business goals and industry trends into new business opportunities;
  • Manage contract completion and compliance and be responsible for revenues, margins and profits;
  • Plan resources and create action plans during sales and engagement development process;
  • Work closely with DataArt global delivery team to manage large scale service engagements – planning, execution, monitoring and reporting;
  • Understand key risks and assist in managing and mitigating them through tactical plans and actions;
  • Develop PR and marketing opportunities for client engagements and outcomes;
  • Manage third parties involved in DataArt engagement with client;
  • Report monthly to Head of Finance Practice or Head of Sales on account performance metrics, key issues, opportunities, changes or objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in financial services and capital markets, either in-house or as a consultant – preferably in asset management, banking, capital markets sectors;
  • Experience in professional services highly preferred;
  • Proven track record in consultative sales;
  • Strong background in technology – application development and management;
  • Ability to communicate strongly and clearly with executive level stakeholders in client companies as well as the globally distributed delivery team;
  • Proven leadership skills;
  • Strong domain expertise in financial services and capital markets.
